2016 Ram 2500 6.4 with 4K miles had the check engine light come on. Took it to the "mechanics" at Cherry Creek Dodge in Denver said 1 week to get in the parts. At this point I didn't think he couch handle the idea of the new thing called Next Day Air. Also, these guys truly didn't seem like they knew their asses from a hole in the ground.
There is another dealership in town but they are a few weeks out before they can look at it. They're busy because, you know, Dodge.
So I went home and broke it to my family that the camping trip they were looking forward to is cancelled. Apparently although it will keep driving there is a good chance it will lock it'self to a 40mph max.
So, Thanks NAFTA for the $40+ thousand dollar boat anchor. Should have kept the old Tahoe.
Rant over. Thanks all for listening.
1. Nafta has nothing to do with your issue. the sensor was undoubtedly made in Asia or the US which still manufactures many of these.
2. RAM QC is not responsible for the dealers inability to get a part in any given time frame. That has as much to do with the distribution system as it does with you not asking for it to be sent by 2nd day air and pay the difference.
3. This is odd since there is a very sizeable warehouse for FCA parts in Denver.
4. If it was just the check Engine light sensor you could have gone with the original and waited it would have hurt nothing.
While I agree it's irritating this should not have stopped you as far as I can read from your post.
