The point about buying locally and I have said this many many times is most dealers are not going to bend over backwards to get you in and pay to have someone pick a part up if at a local dealer. Nor are they going to pay to have a part expedited overnight for someone that is not a customer.
There is a reason I can call my dealer and get treated like a king. I buy all of my vehicles from the same dealer and have been for over 22 years now. I can hang a bill and so can my kids if need be. I get a loaner anytime I want one and when my 04 truck was sold and the new one was not built yet they gave me a SUV to drive for three months! At no cost and when it needed an oil change they paid for it even when I told the SM I would pay for the oil change myself. He said no way!
If you want outstanding customer service try being an outstanding customer! Are there POS FCA dealers out there you bet there are just like @ Ford, GM and every other car manufacture. But to think any dealer is going to slip you in before one of their regular customers (unless you are out of town) you have another thing coming.
