Getting warranty work on a RAM is definitely challenging. There aren't any dealers in my part of Northern Utah that have any mechanics that can solve anything if the computer doesn't tell them what to do. None of them in my area stock parts either, and generally it takes a week or two for them to get them. Of course corporate isn't any betting either. Put in a ticket with them and they will initially just say never heard of it before, then come up with a million excuses.
If you really want to see how little they care about customer support answer their follow up survey in a negative way prior to leaving on a road trip. I answered the first follow up with explanations as to why I was unsatisfied, and the survey person who was a sub contractor said they would have someone from Chrysler contact me. I then left on a road trip. When I got back, my home phone had a series of voice messages asking me to call back, then the next day getting snotty saying he had a deadline for resolving the issue, finally saying I obviously didn't care about resolving the issue so he was closing it out saying I was satisfied. The follow up calls I made to them made it even clearer it's all about their customer satisfaction folks filling squares, with resolving issues not being part of the equation.
Once you're out of warranty things get better as you can either do it yourself or take it to a decent mechanic.
