Anything lighter would disintegrate here. The Shipping weights of some US Travel Trailers are incredible light. Tare Weight and Dry Weight are a bit different. An Airstream does not sell here, the Retro styling goes against it, the suspension might need a lot of modifying for Australia use and their are more modern construction methods.As well you can get better interiors(I inspected an Airstream in the US)
One local builder Evernew has their 50yr old Caravans being regularly used and some of the older builders like Millard have quite a few of their early 1970's Caravans being used.
