Believe me, I'm all about value. When shopping my tow vehicle, I looked at everything from the Expedition, to the Acadia, Highlander, Jeep Grand Cherokee (the othe finalist), Touareg, X5 etc. I ended up with the ML because NOTHING else had the diesel engine, tow capacity, comfort and safety of the ML. The Jeep Grand Cherokee did, and would have saved me $6k, but the diesel wasn't available yet, after waiting 6 months! Unlike many, I don't just go to a lot and buy whatever. I'm very careful how I spend my money, and do a huge amount of research.
On at note, have you been to a trader Joes? They're not exactly a "luxury" store, just cheap, good quality products.. Costco is wonderful, go there all the time. As for Walmart? They don't exist around here..closest one is over 30 mins away.
