Mods / Admin question -- New Senior Member status?

I'm only throwing this out there as a suggestion--
I know member status has to do with number of posts, not time on the forum. I see some people joining last year, and already put up enough posts to get to Senior status.

My suggestion/thought/proposal - can there be a new classification for us truly "Senior Members" that have not only contributed hundreds/thousands of posts over the years, but who have also been here for years? Not sure if you can, or even what you could call it.

Again, just throwin it out there.

  • I seldom look to see if someone is a Senior, new, old or whatever. I only read the newest post if it looks interesting not if it was posted by a Senior Member.
  • Seriously? People place credence in the arbitrary levels / status of members?
Doesn't the "Joined" data accomplish the idea being posited?
  • I just slipped JohnnyT $50.00 and he moved me up to Senior the same day I signed up on RV.Net! Easy-Peazy!
  • *Ouch*

With Super Senior super powers, could we destroy newbs who post in all caps or who use pronunciation like 14 y/o girls on their I phone?
  • To qualify as a 'Super Senior' you must at least post this in the correct forum.

Interesting idea, but I don't think it matters how long you've been here or how many responses you have or whether you are a Senior Member or not. Either your words hold up to scrutiny, or they don't.
