Lynn, thanks for the heads up on Chaco Canyon. Culturally speaking Chaco Canyon would be by far the better of the two (Chaco vs Canyon de Chelly) and I definitely will want to spend some time there the next time I travel through that region. I'm noticing on this post that Cottonwood Campground which is located near the Visitors Center at Canyon de Chelly seems to be a better campground than Spider Rock Campground farther along the canyon. Is that correct?
