- nohurryExplorerI'm at that point were it's close enough to see (5 1/2 years), but it's still hard to put in perspective after working so long. I'll just keep going, and one day wake up and it'll be time :B
DW and I are blessed with good health, and good jobs. We've planned and saved, and will be debt free, so if she can keep me from going overboard when we buy our retirement fifth wheel, we should be just fine. Here's to no more Mondays!! - azrvingExplorerBe careful with wanting to not work. It's not easy being on the road for 7 months at a time. I just had a rough morning trying to figure out where to move to. We were near Capital Reef but the temps are starting to dip into the 20's so I had to find a warmer place. Search this, search that, will the rig fit, how far from walmart will it be. This stuff is not easy but someone has to do it. :)
- DutchmenSportExplorerUnfortunately, a wise person once said (not me, I'm just quoting):
When you are young, you use your health to make your wealth.
When you are old, you use your wealth to keep your health.
I'll never be able to retire!
Seems very few people have both time and money together. - BedlamModerator

I'm only 40, so i've got like 20-25 years left. I am self employed so I can get out quite a bit, almost 50 nights a year. Most are long weekends but we did a 24 day trip in late July.
I feel better that I have less time until retirement, but worse because that means I'm that much older...
We just returned from another trip to the dry side of the state and now will be focusing more on the wet side. A loop of the Olympic Peninsula and trip north to Birch Bay will fill out our November. - daily_doubleExplorerThe problem with being old enough to retire is......you're that old!!
- VinsilExplorerWe did a trip this weekend too, although I have Mondays off and only work 4 days a week.
I'm 36 and I will retire at 52 years old. Getting there, but not wishing it away! - fpooleExplorer

Just retire like me. Oh yeh, that's the reason I don't have money to go anywhere, I almost forgot!

It's certainly a trade off... - 2BLAZERSExplorer

I will take San Diego with no money any day over Alberta with a little money this time of year, All the money in the world can’t warm a body that is looking at 6 months of bone crushing winter.
