Actually he drives an engine designed by DMAX Ltd, 60% owned by GM and 40% owned by Isuzu, assembled in a GM Engine Plant in Moraine Ohio.
It is NOT an Isuzu engine, but their engineers contributed much of the mechanical design. GM (Delco) did all the electronics.

No not 100% owned by GM, Isuzu gets the royalties, upgrades the engine. They have a partnership or had one to develop the basics of the Colorado/Dmax
