I agree with Scott. 5.9 Cummings with a six speed. Get as few of the nice things as you can, skip power windows, power seats, power mirrors. If you can find one without ac or a stereo that would limit the amount of things that could go wrong. All joking aside, the 5.9/6 speed would be a top choice for me, right there with a 7.3l zf6 combo.
