Our 2000 f350 is still in great condition and we still enjoy driving with it but it isn't anything like our fantastic terrific 2015 f350:B.
By listening to all the comments over the last couple of years I think any of the big 3 could bring a smile to your face when you are driving and pulling with them.
When we were looking for a truck in 2002. We were looking for a low mileage used truck and couldn't find one We did find our 2000 with 78,000 miles on it at a dealer. But they wanted as much as a new one. We didn't have that much money but we went to look anyway. I loved the truck but not the price. After a lot of dickering ,on their part,we just kept saying "too much" they dropped the price in increments until it was a 3rd of what they started at. And then we could afford it. :B The truck now has 135,000 miles on it and we are very happy with it. Only problems have been the clutch came apart at 125k and the ball joints wore out shortly after. Both weere a known weakness on the 7.3 trucks.
When we started looking for another new to us truck in 2014 we found that a 2 year old low miles truck was to close to the price of a new one. So we started looking for a new one with what we wanted on it and in august we found a 2015 priced the same as the close out bargain prices of the 2014's .
I am happy with Fords but I wouldn't tell anyone it is the only model out there. I think they all are very nice trucks and dependable.
Good luck and enjoy the hunt.
