Motorcraft 10W30, 5W40, Rotella or Mobil 1 for 6.7

Just curious about what oil to put into my Powerstroke. Book calls for 5W40 (full synthetic) for towing 1000 miles. Local Ford dealer uses 10W30 as standard oil change oil. There are other diesel oi...

My Cummins and my Ford have integral oil coolers so I imagine when the engine is at operating temp the oil is running at or near the same temp whether winter or summer. I use the mfg recommended oil spec for proper lubrication on start up.
