Don't know what numbers tow wise the 3.0VM will have but a 2013 SLT CC SWB 5.7 3:92 gears 4X2 has a max trailer tow rating of 10,300# with a payload load of 1659# so when can I send you a friends discount for your new Ram. LINKY
Really, Cause I see no mention of the Diesel in that link. None whatsoever.
And let's see here with the #'s:
8k trailer, 800lbs tongue
Driver @ 200
2x friends @ 250
That's 1550 lbs right there.
And it's still outclassed in just about every configuration by Ford. F150 Payload
F150 Towing
I would imagine the same is true for GM in that it as better capabilities than Ram.BTW there is a BIG difference between a "trailer" and a RV and that is why Ram suggests using a HD class truck for RV towing.
Interesting way to spin it when the capabilities are not there...Not interesting at all, Ram simply delegates large RV towing to the 2500 and up trucks.
Most of you guys say that you went with the F-150 for the unloaded ride right? So Ram addressed this with the 2500 by using a air ride system. The Ram 1500 uses coil spring and a optional air ride system. Not sure why Ford even offers a F250 since it is out classed by it's little brother.
I said it in my very first post "GREAT JOB FORD!" they found a way to get people to pay for a F-250 but think they still are getting a F-150 nice marketing and it seems to be working for them.
If you don't understand the differences between towing an RV and towing a low profile trailer then you it's not even worth discussing it is it.
Good day
