Mountains aren't a problem. I live in the NW and every trip we take has a mountain in it somewhere. You may go slower going uphill but oh well, there will always be someone going slower than you. Make sure your trailer brakes are in good condition and you have a good brake controller as going downhill might create more stress. That light of a trailer behind a half ton truck should be no sweat.
