Most important thing to remember. Start down the hill in the gear, and at the speed you want to maintain. Drop to the gear that will best hold the speed you want to use. Even if that is FIRST gear. IF you use the gears correctly, You will NEVER heat up your brakes, and in truth the TT brakes will seldom even come on. Let the ENGINE do your downhill braking. It may turn up some RPM. But that is ok. Let it do its job.
