Being able to compare lots of used TCs and picking the best one would be the other benefit of coming to the Northwest. You'll run out of time before you run out of used TCs to look at.
I'd avoid really new models unless you like taking chances. If you lived near the Northstar factory, buying a brand new model might be ok.
