I know it will be a little space challenged with 4, but we have traveled together for months/weeks at a time and kinda know our groove. We'll make it work.
Plus, we are thinking ahead for when the boys head off to college. I'd rather trade off some of the space now for overall a lower profile, less width, little less weight...a simple, no hassle unit. We intend to keep the unit a long time and intend to set it up accordingly from the start. I don't want to think about going through the process again a few years down the road.
Anyway, we asked for following mods/options from factory:
1.Maybe a larger FW tank, from 41 to maybe 50 (we won't have to always drive around with it completely full ;))
2. they will look into upping the gray tank a bit also
3. cassette toilet
4. 7cuft compressor fridge
5. changing rear driver side cab storage area from a platform/drawer to an enclosed wardrobe, have both wardrobes with adjustable shelving instead of hanging space
6. shelving in kitchen "pantry" instead of hanging
7. Heki skylight (yes, there are pros and cons), 13' awning
8. even more insulation throughout, but that might not be doable
9. we tried to have the dump valve moved underneath so it doesn't stick out the back, but it has to stay there
10. low-profile, 9000BTU AC
11. plenty of 12V/USB ports
12. bunk for son #2, (supposedly NS is putting in better dinette cushions this year also)
13. micro, regular stove/oven (wrestled a little with this, but we used both routinely in the TT)
14. still deciding on a Maggie rack for the top
15. looking into increasing wire gauge for solar, etc.
16. no TV but already wired
Then from Bill:
17. 320+W solar
18. 3 12V AGM batteries
19. still wrestling with needing a large inverter or not (Bill says he talks folks out of them)
20. Bill is working on some kind of rear sliding storage unit, so we might look into that
21. truck disconnect switch
22. Torklift, etc.
With the compressor fridge, we might look into bringing along a Honda when traveling NW or such. Don't like the idea of another fuel along, but cursed my propane fridge too many times...
We'll see what Bill comes back with after talking to Rex.
