Right where the hitch will be mounted is where the back of the bed sits on air ride now. You can leave a drink sitting on that and its still there when you drive on even rough roads. Will be using our normal hitch, But will be on the lookout for a good used air ride hitch. That or just build a plate and add 4 bags one per side to it and mount the hitch on it. Full air that way.;)
In this pic, the air ride is rght at the back of the bed. Springs on the axles, But the back of the springs sit on the bag frame then the air bags are between the tractor frame and the bed. So the back of the axle is floating the air ride. Its an odd setup but works.
Its a 2 stage system like this but bigger 2 stage air ride
