moving on up

Just a quick update. I took she who must be obeyed looking at my shortlist yesterday. I also found a Sonic dealer nearby. So we looked at the passport and a few others in that range at one dealer and then we drove to the dealer which had the Sonic models. My wife fell in love with the Sonic 220vrb. I was a bit concerned that she would not like the murphy bed setup but that was the least of her concerns. As for weight it has a gross vehicle weight of 5400 pounds so even loaded we are still good. As far as the features goes it has more bang for the buck then the passport. Pluses include electric tongue jack, outdoor kitchen with stove sink and mini fridge, outdoor shower and instead of a indoor shower with shower curtain an actual shower door. My wife was less fond of the darker cabinetry but that seems to be the trend now. The headroom (inside roof heighth was also more in the sonic. A plus since my wife is over 6' tall. Right now this unit is our choice. it's just a matter of logistics. finance and timing now.
