Moving over from Hybrid Forum

Good morning all! This past week we officially became members of the darkside. We've loved our ROO 23SS hybrid, but time marches on and it was time to make a move. Found the perfect-for-us TT....a 2013 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604. I had no clue how much "stuff" was in our ROO until spending the past 2 days moving it into "Rocky", as it is now known. Actually, they're both going on a diet and Goodwill + the new ROO owners are reaping the benefits. After beginning our 8th season with the ROO, we felt like we knew pretty much all we needed to know about it, but this 2604 has a bunch of features we've never laid eyes on. Went from the Equalizer to a Blue Ox 1000 WDH hitch and so far DH is happy as can be.....and it's quiet. Love the layout, wonderful storage, the interior, the exterior graphics, everything about it. Now to find a new and loving home for the ROO.....and soon would be good.

So "hi" and Happy Camping to all!
  • You are going to love not having to deal with canvas in the rain! Sure, we miss those quiet campgrounds where we could nap with the ends open and enjoy the breeze but we definitely don't miss hearing kids and their training wheels going at 7am(; Great looking TT - Congrats!
  • I just moved from an HTT to a TT also. Been out on 2 different 4 day trips and just love it. We just got back a couple of hours ago from the Keys. DW stated during the drive, how much easier it was set up and pack up. You'll love it, best of luck and welcome to the best side.
  • Yup, traded our 21SSO on the hardside in my sig. I'm about half way through my list of mods to set it up the way we want it.
    Welcome to the dark side!
  • Congrats, We also just made the plunge to the "darkside" as they call it. I think it will fit out growing family much better with the each kid having their own sleeping space. We are making the first camp outside the driveway the end of this week with taking it to Disney. Hope all goes well with your new purchase as well.
  • We moved from a hybrid last year and really enjoy our new trailer. No matter the group, everyone from trk campers to trailers has great stories and wonderful resources. Welcome to the dark side and enjoy laughing at the rain in your new trailer.
