my experience so far. I too, traded a 2010 F-150- for a 2015 f-250. My towing mileage on two trips out runs about the same as my 150 did. 9-11mpg. I pull a 2590 BH Passport. About 6200# loaded. My truck is still breaking in. About 2800 miles on it so far. On my 150 I started seeing my best mileage at about 8,000 mi. To break the truck in I took a 1000 mi trip before towing. The computer showed 15.0 average driving anywhere from 65-70 on freeway and slower speeds on secondary roads and in town driving on the trip. Hand calculating I get within .5 difference from the computer which is close. If I drive shorter in town, stop and go type driving I'm getting about 13 average. Just made three runs to our airport driving in traffic, mostly 4 lane and it showed a 16.0 on the total of 150 miles. On a trip to a race about 60 miles each way i got 18 with a wind behind me and on the return trip against the wind 15.5 at 65 mph. This truck has a ton of power and the 6 speed tranny is much smoother than the 6 speed in my old f150. My hopes is to see at least 17 on highway trips empty when completely broken in and driving with some sense.. I already know the tow mileage is just as good. It takes some juice to feed 385Hp and I expected that, but the 6.2 is impressive and will really get up and go and has good reviews on the RV forum.
