I have a 2012 Ram 2500 with the 5.7 Hemi, 6-spd auto and 4:10 rear. If I'm going down hill with a tail wind, a full moon and all of the stars are aligned I'm lucky to get 16.5 mpg @ 65 mph. When towing I fall into the ever popular range of 8-10 mpg.
You will never find MPG ratings on vans, pickup trucks, and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) weighing more than 8,500 pounds gross vehicle weight are classified as heavy-duty vehicles. Fuel economy regulations do not apply to these vehicles, so they are not tested.
