I have the dually in my sig., and as Rick mentioned, I don't have a hitch yet due to Chryslers excellence in Engineering a great idea into a truck bed, but dropping the ball when it comes to utilizing it. I'm still looking for a way to use the 5er/GN prep and not tear up my truck bed....Believe with the Reese elite drop in ball and an Anderson Ultimate 5er hitch, I'll be able to do some towing...just fortunate I don't have to do any towing "right now".
ok...off topic there for a bit....Driving back and forth to work, some city driving in there and some trips on the truck, at around 1150 miles, I've been "averaging" a tad over 16 mpg....I haven't towed yet, but with my 5er loaded to 15,750# with the 2010 and the 2012 which were both dually's and both with 4:10's, I'd get 9 to as high as 11 mpg..depending on if I were towing "mostly uphill", or "mostly down hill"..(all my towing done in the mountains)...I would like to think that my towing mpg, like my unloaded mpg, will be higher with this 13'...It's an awesome truck and very comfortable and quite for a 1 ton crew/cab/long bed 4 wheel drive dually.
AS SOON AS I TOW, I will post my results..am looking forward to towing with this truck, as the 2010 and 2012 were both more than capable of doing the job...figure it'll d the job very well..with improved mpg with DEF addition..
