The Laramie creature comforts are well worth it if you’re going to spend a lot of time in the truck, which it sounds like you would. The front seat leather is fine. The difference between the trim lines is what is used for the rears. The Laramie has imitation leather in the rear which doesn’t hold up well. The Limited and Longhorn use real leather from what I have read.
You may not need the heated seats in Ca but the cooling is nice. The 8.4 radio/Nav is way better then the base model. Not sure what else is missing from the tradesman line but you should take a look at the specs and figure what you would use and what you could do without and if it’s worth it to you. It’s all personal preference. I love the features in my Laramie.
