The Mr. buddy heater was manufactured to be used in r.v.'s and tents, Have you read the information that comes with the Mr. buddy heater it has a low oxygen shutoff and co shutoff I have used one for years and used it when I slept never had a problem. I think they are as safe as using the furnace in your camper. I have a slide in my camper and I have more air exchange everywhere in my camper than I want. There are those who are afraid to have the fridge run on propane when they are driving and some are afraid to use the furnace and some scared that running the generator with the a/c on at night when they sleep fumes might kill them and some buy a rig and are afraid they might die in a traffic accident. But for me I make everything as safe as i humanly can and will not let fear keep me from enjoying what time I have left, put your faith in action and enjoy your traveling and camping all you can because time keeps moving whether we do or not
