Now to get my new rig. I have been looking hard for what I want and coming up dry, but I think I might have landed on one an hour ago. What I want is more heavy duty RV in a bunkhouse model. Everyone has recommended an Arctic Fox or an Outdoor RV, but I can't find any within a 1000 miles and none that I can find are Bunkhouse models. I used to own a 1996 Wilderness by Fleetwood that was tough as nails and is still in use today (I gave it away to a young couple that needed it) even after two trips to the Arctic and being lived in continually since the day we bought it.
I just found a listing for a 2009 FLEETWOOD WILDERNESS 270DBHS about 150 miles from me. It's a lot bigger then I wanted (31 feet) but it is the only bunkhouse model I can find and it can sleep 9 people which I think is great. The deal is asking 14K for it. What do you think? Also do you think my truck can handle this thing. Silverado 2500HD with 6.0 V8 gasoline.
