If a HDPP would solve this, then what about adding the components to make the equivalent? Heavier springs, etc? And not just LT tires, but lower profile ones with less sidewall to squirm. Easier to throw $3-$4k into this truck than to bend over at the dealership.
Not really possible. There are differences in frame thickness and rear axle too. The HDPP was the only 1/2 package (from anyone) that would meet my needs. I did a ton of research prior to ordering mine so I knew exactly what I was getting into.
I didn't bend over when ordering a 18 HDPP. It was a ~$51K OTD Lariat loaded including a 120k 7 year Ford ESPP. I was under sticker by a decent amount, and I was an early buyer. Yeah I had to order it, but that's no big deal anymore.

Hi Mike,
What are the frame thickness differences, specifically? I believe that went away with the 2015 redesign, as I cannot find anything other that the Max Trailering Package has an upgraded rear bymper (hitch, really). Please let me know.
Thanks!
