That is quite a list. Most slide-outs do not go out super-smoothly. Fridges not staying closed when driving isn't unusual. We had to use clips on our fin fridge in the TT.
The roof vents fell off? Wow! I can see why you are upset about that and the other stuff.
I bet your wife greatly appreciates you sacrificing the SnowRiver in favor of a walk-around bed that doesn't require a ladder. (After almost 30 years, I still miss my TC.)
Hopefully you'll get your camper back in time to make another trip or two before winter. Let us know how it goes.
