As for figuring where a trailer will turn, an imaginary point between the dual axles is where the trailer will pivot. It gives a better idea of what direction the trailer will go. Many people call any weight distributing hitch an "equalizer" hitch. The four point equalizer hitch the OP was talking about is the brand name Equal-i-zer(note spelling) hitch with 4 point sway control. A much better sway control hitch than the generic "equalizer" WD hitch, with add on friction sway control, that is so common.
