I was surprised at the responses that said they back alone, I thouhgt I was the only one! My DW has no idea how to direct me when backing the TT. She is wonderful in doing the one thing I need her to do, watch for objects I can't see, both behind and above the TT.
The first time I backed into a spot I was by myself, took longer than it should have but I got the 30 footer into a tight sight and learned a lot about backing. We've made 5-6 trips this year and backing gets easiler every time.
There are still some campgrounds I won't visit because the sites are just too damn tight though, mostly the beaches in Southern California.
The one thing I will offer if you use your SO as a helper (and I did this with the ex when we would mount or unmout the camper we had) is declare a no stress period during the event, no yelling, no anger, if anybody starts getting edgy take a break. Works for me and I've never had an arguement during one of this stressful events.
