That was a concern, which is why I turned it sideways. I saw no noticeable difference in temps, although to be fair, my water temp gauge is the stock idiot gauge. I do however have a digital transmission temp gauge and big aftermarket transmission cooler, I usually hover around 180 just cruising or maybe 210 up hills in winter and 235-ish in summer. There was one 100+ degree day when it hit 250-ish over the Grapevine pass, but I don't recall if the generator was on the front or not. I never go over half throttle with that truck since it has 235k miles on original engine, so I'm "that guy" going 30 mph up the hill getting passed by semi's.
