Is your 7 pin connection typically loose? I ask because mine (when properly plugged in) takes a good bit of effort to unplug, so it's hard to imagine it coming out on its own.
When you hooked everything up did you leave enough slack in the cord that the trailer could turn on the ball all the way to the left and right without unplugging the cord?
