Is your 7 pin connection typically loose? I ask because mine (when properly plugged in) takes a good bit of effort to unplug, so it's hard to imagine it coming out on its own.
When you hooked everything up did you leave enough slack in the cord that the trailer could turn on the ball all the way to the left and right without unplugging the cord?
The wire did not come loose from the plug end. The cord is pretty long, so there is a certain amount of slack that is tucked in between the leveler and the gas tanks, and it has never come loose before. But you are right, there always needs to be enough slack for the TT to turn both ways. I'll have to measure that out before I tie the slack to the frame.
