My 7 pin connector on my truck has a cover that holds the connectors together so it won't come out. Also my p3 brake controller will tell me if there is no trailer connected. Even my older voyager would let you know if the trailer was not connected because it would not power on.
No issues with my axles but i have only owned the th for a year.
