Glad you are happy with your Rickson Wheels and Tires. Everything you wrote about Rickson is true for most people I have talked with. While my Rickson wheels and tires arrived weeks before I had requested, so it does happen. For me though, it created a bit of a challenge, as I had not planned on being in the shipment destination location for a number of weeks, so I had to cancel a planned visit to Colorado National Monument. So, there are those times that they do ship early.
Overall it is my honest opinion that Rickson provides great quality products and it is countered by the problem that happens to many contractors met with demand greater than they can possibly perform for. Dadwolf2 stated it accurately in that his ride was perfect from the moment he hit the road, as was mine too. I was utterly amazed in how great they rode and vibration free as well as no alignment issues. The Question comes down to whether you wish to wait until they finally do arrive. To be honest, we see the same dilemma happen with Truck Campers being delivered (My Lance was delivered 6 months later than the original delivery estimate), but I purchased mine during a time when many manufacturers were going out of business and Lance had reduced to one production line.
So, if you are willing to accept a wheel with less than perfect offset and sometimes challenging balancing and vibration, then the Vision Wheels will suit you well. The best part is that Les Schwab stands behind the product and works to get it right.
If you are willing to accept less than ideal delivery dates and communication that is inaccurate, with hands down great product and from the moment they roll down the road, perfection, then Rickson should be considered.
