Bill, the Isotherm construction is basically a plastic box (interior) that is surrounded by a sheet metal box (exterior) that is about 1/2"per side larger. That 1/2" space all around is filled with a fairly dense foam insulation that seems to perform pretty well. I have a fair amount of space on the left, rear and top of this install that I have added some insulation into. The Isotherms are built for the Marine industry and they tout superior performance in high temperature - high humidity environments (like a boat cruising the tropics) so I'm hoping it will perform well in the TC.
