In answer to FREEP's questions. I have added two photos. One of the battery, and the compartment, and a 3rd of the overall drivers side of the rig.
The front hitch? Its a draw tight. I paid $119.65 at e trailer.
It was easy to install with two people, because its awkward and heavy. I managed to cut the valance perfectly the 1st time. Just lucky. its rated for 500 lbs support, and 9,000 lbs pulling. I intend to pick up a pintle hitch and carry it, should i get stuck in the sand. It will make a great center point attachment point. Otherwise...I will use the hitch for my beach buggy basket, where I carry my honda generator, spare fuel can, two aluminum folding tables, and chairs. It fits my bike rack too when I'm not using the camper.
On the batteries: I see they are going for 163 dollars retail. they weigh 62 lbs each too! BUT...they kick butt for longevity and I will never go any other way! Could never go back to two finicky alleged 12 volt deep cycles. In fact....I may add them to my boat and make a trolling battery bank!
As far as everything else? I install everything myself. I shop best prices online and take my time carefully installing.
I just today added LED replacement bulbs from M4.com in California. very pleased with the service I received and the quality of the leds. They are rated for 10-30 volts and the descriptions of the light color was very good. I went with NATURAL WHITE inside, and COOL WHITE outside on the sides and rear. Of the 7 inside bulbs...one was dead on arrival. They are sending me a replacement no questions asked. Their warranty is two years too. so I'm pleased as can be on that upgrade.
