My New Solar System Overview.

My New Solar System Overview
Yes, it cost a pretty penny and took about 3 days to plan, remove the old system, and install the new system. 675 watts solar, 400 AH Lithium batteries with heat and cold protection. All new wiring, victron 30 amp dc to dc charger between house batteries and alternator. Very important to have especially with large battery sizes so as to not draw so much current to fry your alternator. Victron 150 70 mppt controller. No need for shunts and other monitoring equipment because all the information you want is displayed on yourphone via bluetooth connection. This is a powerful system designed so Kelli and I can be up late on computers with lights, inverter, furnace, multiple USB chargers going and all the TC incidentals running. Last night after deliberately running a bunch of loads, I got the batteries down to 81 percent. They will be charged by noon or one.

And how much was that pretty penny?

Sounds as if it will be a wonderful system.

    What inverter did you choose?

6k, half is for batteries. Ill never need a generator and it has enough power that Iplann8ng to run a cord to the house to run the big screen and laptops 8n the family room. If I can save 100 a month for at least half the year, I'd be happy. Inverter is a xantrex puresinewave 600 watts. I may need to up size. It has worked great so far.
