Curious if your camper was off the truck and the truck empty at the time of installation? You stated that when you lowered the truck off the jack, the Timbrens contacted the axle. I know when I installed my Timbrens on the unloaded truck as the instructions called for, it stated the Timbrens should have x amount of clearance and not touch the axle.
