My trailer just paid for itself (Figuratively)

Man, if I have ever been happy to own my trailer, never as much as now!
My son's ball team qualified for the Provincial Baseball Championships.
In the host city, there are numerous sports events happening and ALL hotels have been booked for months!

Our team has started booking a one star MOTEL 50 min away...
Me? I will be 15 min away at a full hook up campsite....

Just thought I would share another advantage to camping..

    Too funny!

  • That's great! No bed bug worries for you.

Best of luck to your son in the Championships.
  • Nice; the hotels are probably charging too much anyway. My daughter works a front desk and their hotel goes up 30% on holidays.
  • I know that my solar system paid for itself. I figure that I saved about $10 a night, and dry camped for 300 nights the first 8 years I had the solar system, and another 400 nights since that time. So it paid for itself twice!

You can really save some money with a motorhome. It is easy enough to park at the ballpark, and you can eat there, saving $50 a day in food alone! Not to mention a air conditioned place to relax between games!

  • Awesome!! At least you know who has slept in your bed. LOL Thanks for sharing and have fun!!
