IRon in the water makes the best sense. I haven't had my water tested, but there is iron ore in our region. There used to be a major steel mill about 15 miles away and ore mines 10 miles away. I've seen rust in baths and sinks all over the area. I'll get it tested and figure out how to sanitize the lines as an additional precaution.
