Serratia bacteria is airborne and won't be from a 600' deep well. Instead of guessing, I'd take a sample to a water quality lab for testing. When you pick up a sample bottle, take to a tech to see if there is anything you need to know before taking a sample in. Then when you know exactly what it is you'll know exactly what to do, if anything.
