My wife wants to camp in the driveway

It’s winter in Indiana and my wife “misses” the camper.

It’s about 1/2 mile from our home in a storage facility.

She is asking me to bring it home and warm it up so she can enjoy it in the driveway over the holidays.

She wants the heat and toilet to work but it’s winterized and I’m thinking the house hook up would freeze.

I’m thinking she’s going to have to use the hose bathroom but, if there’s a safe way to get water to the camper without using the tank, I’d hook it up for her.

Suggestions? ( and please hold the smart a** ones)

Thanks!
  • "Camping" in the driveway satisfies the 'itch' during the winter months. Even though we have a home in Az that we winter in, we still get the itch to camp and go off every couple weeks for the weekend, just 'because'. A happy wife is a happy life...:B....Dennis
  • On my travels to Florida when it's winterized I just get a couple gallons of antifreeze and use that for the toilet water just pour some in and do your business. Number 2 guess I would go inside. Bottled water and you're good to go. I find keeping my wife happy is never a bad idea. Use the propane to heat water if you need to.
  • My wife and I use ours all the time. Use everything but the water. Park next to and plugged into the barn. No worries about kids or friends showing up at the wrong time ;);)
  • We camped in our last night. Family visiting for Christmas. Planned to have daughter stay in the RV, but I decided I wanted to stay in there. Nice and quiet when we needed it to be.

I agree....and especially nothing interesting about camping in the driveway..

but...whatever works for you and your wife, works for me.
    Enjoy.

No porta potty for my wife!

She will have to go in to potty!

Sure bring it home but ask her to not use the facilities due freezing. If she is reasonable both of you can be happy.

    Thanks. That’s what I’ll do!
