This seems a common practice in the industry. When we bought our last TT 20 yrs ago, the salesman told me about the missing shelf in the Norcold fridge after we closed the deal. He could get me one from his parts dept for a fee if I wished. Since I was too easy on him during negotiation (read: sucker), he gave me one as a good will.
