Narrowing our TC list

If you want a truck camper for it’s mobility rather than the space-while-parked advantage of a trailer, I’d think hard about buying any model you can’t use the bathroom - or even get into at all - without deploying a slide-out.
Things like that aren’t obvious on the lot at the dealer but become a pain out in the world.

The dry bath in the AF992 is small compared to the wet bath in the AF990. Also you can’t use the bathroom with the slide closed.
Fishorgolf has a good point about an area for wet items to hang while they dry.
The AF1100 series has a nice dry bath that can be used, for bathroom break, with the slide in. On the AF1140, I am not a big fan of the cook top being right next to the dinette. I am concerned with the cooking splatter/grease getting onto the dinette fabric. I like the refrigerator/wardrobe layout on the AF1150. Also keep in mind that there is a large countertop extension that comes with most AF TC’s. Your truck will handle the Arctic Fox nicely.

Cost is relatively the same and you just bought the 2nd biggest truck available anywhere to haul a TC, given the option, I’d have the largest TC I could for it. 1150, 1172 etc.

I would give the wet bath models a second look, those will have a bigger area to hang wet clothes and towels from, much like a wet room. Our 1150 AF also has more counter space than alot of the Class As that we will move up to some day. Have fun shopping.

Got the 1172..Had good luck with it and really do like it.....If I were to order one I would:

Delete the reclining sofa.....For us it is very uncomfortable..Looking for alternatives currently, maybe 2 Euro chairs or similar.....Others find it fine, just try it yourself and see......

Add another 100w solar panel..I have 1 up there, 2 would be perfect....

Top rack---I have never used it and would delete if ordering....Others may certainly differ....

Otherwise, I really do like the Lance.....

I love the AF 992 The shower is pretty big for that size of a camper.

Yes, we looked at wet bath recently and just prefer a dry bath.
