Need a short triple bunk trailer

We really like our KZ Spree 240BHS. 27 ft, three bunks, large dinnette/bed, queen bed. plenty of room.

Just a suggestion, since you are totally new to RVing. Whatever you decide on purchasing, shoot for 30% off MSRP. Don't settle for a dealer's offer of 10%.

Your Spree 240BHS measures 28' 3" coupler to bumper and at 4650 lbs factory dry is almost 500 lbs heavier than the 2008 Spree 240BH non-slide version we owned for six years that measured just 26' 9" coupler to bumper. Both very nice rigs but it's unfortunate KZ deemed it necessary to pork out this popular triple bunker the way they did.

We are going to put our deposit down tomorrow on a lance 2185. We went and looked yesterday just for the fun of it as we were settled on a jayco 28babe and fell in love with the smaller Lance. It still has a bunkhouse for the kids and all but is near 8ft and 2000lbs smaller. What sold us was the quality! Wow, after looking and researching we knew jayco was good but doesn't hold a wish to the lance.

Price, yes it is $8k more than the bigger Jayco but we feel worth every penny.
The salesman was great and coming from sales I can tell you why,,,, he had 100% confidence in the quality and value of his product. It sold itself.

Does anyone have a 2185 or Lance??

The Lance 2185 will be our next trailer...provided it's still being made when we're ready to get our next trailer! We like our Jayco, but I'm tired of re-engineering things that were built shoddy to begin with. I first saw Lances last May and it was love at first sight. They may be more expensive yes, but to me it seems like it's a case of you get what you pay for.

After 5 years with with our TT, there is no way the Lance 2185 would work for us. There is very limited storage. It would not live our family of 5 on a rainy day either. Quality is top notch.
