OK, I was right! OP has a 2500HD which is the wrong tool for the 5th wheel he noted. If he wants to continue down this road, he will need 19.5 rims and tires, and air bags.
It is amazing that people continue to fall into the 250/2500 trap.
I tow a 16K GVWR 5th wheel with a 3500 SRW and max out the truck on GVWR, close on 7K real axle rating and under the max 17,050 trailer rating.
OP's issue is his truck can not handle the pin weight of the trailer he purchased based of the rear tire capacity of OEM tires.
He really should have had a V8, oh I mean dually!
