Exactly........
The hot & cold water lines are crimped to connectors that screw onto faucet stubs which are also used to hold faucet tight to counter by use of those wing nuts.
UNSCREW pipe connectors.........unscrew wingnuts
Reverse to install new faucet.........might need new washers for inside the pipe connectors
