Need HELP! My faucet is broke...

So my family and I are headed on a 1500 mile round trip vacation next week and I brought my camper home to get ready. Going through my check list I found that my bathroom sink faucet is busted. I decided that this was an easy fix as I have replaced many in my home. WRONG!!

See the picture but I cant get this off. The top nut will only screw down a little ways until it hits the large middle section. How do I get that off? Pliers aren't doing the trick.

Help please!

Please see the image...its on my google drive as I dont know how else to share

  • Go to the hardware store and buy two 1/2" Sharkbite couplings. When you get back, cut the red and blue 1/2" PEX lines. Unscrew these PEX lines from the bottom of the valve body, then unscrew the top basin nuts. The faucet is now uninstalled.

Mount the new faucet, then screw the red and blue PEX lines back onto the valve body, then join them back together with the Sharkbite couplings.

  • I believe you need to remove the clamp and pull the tubing off the fitting it is on. Then unscrew that fitting from the bottom of the faucet, and then remove the nuts.

And, was said above while I was posting.
  • You need to remove the two (red/blue) supply lines. The nuts with the tabs holding the faucet against the underside of the counter top will then untwist off of the faucet's threaded supply pipes.
