As mentioned above, there is a rocker switch on the WH itself, look behind the outside access panel, the switch is small and located on the lower left part of the WH. There is also a circuit breaker for the WH in your electrical panel. If it is tripped, turn it all the way to the off position then turn it on.
Newbie here. I have a Suburban WH circa 2012 with both propane and electric heat. Took some pics of it and labeled the ON/OFF switch and the location of the heating element so it can be tested with a meter. Now if I could only find the photo upload button. I suspect that can only be done on an original post and not a comment to an exiting one
I thought I might have really screwed up winterizing using my compressor. Didn't know about that switch. I bought my rig used a couple of months and there was absolutely no manuals aboard.
Ben Kruip, APEX Customer Service/Warranty Manager at Coachmen saved me. He sent a PDF copy of the generic manual. From there, I've managed to develop my own library of most of the systems aboard. Still have a few more to go. This heater is one of them.
This is a whole other world for me. I've been into classic cars and boats on and off for the last 40+ years. My last big project was rebuilding my 34'Hunter sailboat and my last money pit was yet another British roadster. Ya think I'd learn from the first four such cars.
