Need info on slide it truck camper

I have a 95 F150 with 5.0L engine. The gross rear axle weight is 3800lbs. Front is 2750lbs.I am thinking of getting a Lance slide in camper that weighs 1650 lbs.total weight of truck with gas tanks full and the driver, weighs 4300lbs.I can tow a trailer up to 7000lbs according to Ford owners manual.Total GCWR is 11,500.But I need info on carrying camper.
  • According to this article, the max GVWR is 6250 which you didn't list for your particular truck. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series_ninth_generation I'm surprised that it only weights 4300, but if that's right for your truck, you'd be under of the very max GVWR.

The key is where the weight is though. You would need to go to a scale to see how much weight is actually on the rear.
  • Good luck finding a loaded TC that light let alone add 700# plus tounge weight
